The Unlimited Nectar of Krishna's Name

In amazingly beautiful Sanskrit poetry Srila Rupa Goswami has very nicely and poetically described the unlimited nectar that is found in the two syllables "krish" and "na." Considering this verse why should we be so foolish to look anywhere for happiness and satisfaction. Even the topmost material pleasure of sexual intercourse pales away into insignificance when compared to the unlimited oceans of nectar found in Lord Sri Krishna's holy name. Here is the verse:

tuṇḍe tāṇḍavinī ratiṁ vitanute tuṇḍāvalī-labdhaye
karṇa-kroḍa-kaḍambinī ghaṭayate karṇārbudebhyaḥ spṛhām
cetaḥ-prāṅgaṇa-saṅginī vijayate sarvendriyāṇāṁ kṛtiṁ
no jāne janitā kiyadbhir amṛtaiḥ kṛṣṇeti varṇa-dvayīt

TRANSLATION
“I do not know how much nectar the two syllables ‘Krish-na’ have produced. When the holy name of Krishna is chanted, it appears to dance within the mouth. We then desire many, many mouths. When that name enters the holes of the ears, we desire many millions of ears. And when the holy name dances in the courtyard of the heart, it conquers the activities of the mind, and therefore all the senses become inert.”

Question: Your Life's Goal?

What do you want to achieve in your life?

Devin Novitzke

Answer: Personal and Universal Liberation

Dear Devin,
Please accept my blessings.

I want to become a pure devotee of Lord Sri Krishna, fully qualified to see Him face-to-face, eye-to-eye. And I want to see that all living beings who are currently entangled in the cycle of birth and death will be liberated from their suffering condition and delivered back to the original eternal, full-of-bliss, and full-of-knowledge identities in that most wondrous, glorious spiritual world, their eternal home.

Hoping this meets you well,

Your ever well-wisher,
Sankarshan Das Adhikari
