The Perfection of Love

On 30 December 2018 I gave a lecture based on the profoundest teachings in all of existence, the Vedas, entitled "The Perfection of Love" in a public hall in Wyndham, Australia. The lecture was well received by the large audience, and many nice, thoughtful questions were asked. A group of enthusiastic listeners approached me after the lecture for further questions and answers. You can hear the lecture now by pressing the button below.

Question: Is Spiritual Happiness Permanent or Temporary?

Dear Gurudeva,

It is said that nothing is permanent in this life. Each phase in a person's life is temporary. Therefore, when a person tries to find solace in spirituality is it a temporary journey or perpetual happiness?

It appears to me that everyone has some sort of lamentation in his life and that this is the reason a person tries to derive some steadiness through spirituality. When that phase is over does he goes back again where he was?

Deepest Regards,

Sonali S. Shinde

Answer: Ever-Increasing Eternal Bliss

From: Melbourne, Australia

My Dear Sonali,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Spirituality means entering into the realm of permanency, a perpetual journey of ever-increasing bliss and knowledge. The perfection of spirituality is to regain your original lost loving relationship with Lord Sri Krishna in His eternal transcendental pastimes in the spiritual world. Once you regain that original eternal identity you will never fall back again into this uncertain world of temporality.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your ever well-wisher,

Sankarshan Das Adhikari
