Stop Trying to Be the Center

We have to stop trying to be the center of the universe because we are not. Although it is utter foolishness to spend all of our time and energy trying to be something that we are not, we are still the most foolish human beings because we are completely wasting our energy to do exactly that. Isn't a pity? Something must be done now to change this. This and only this should be the number one priority for all the world's leader.

Do materialistic people suffer because they are not in Krishna consciousness? Why don't they give up their suffering and come to Krishna consciousness?

Just as person who is drowning in the ocean is in a suffering condition, those persons who are not Krishna conscious are in a suffering condition drowning in the ocean of birth, death, old age, and disease.

It is because of their ignorance of the science of Krishna that they remain in their suffering condition. This is why we want to enlighten them. It pains us greatly to see the entire world population drowning in this ocean of ignorance and misery.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
