Who Is That Fool?
Sooner or later we will face death, when everything we are materially attached to will be forcefully ripped away from us by the stringent laws of nature. Even the wealthiest billionaire cannot purchase with his billions of dollars even one minute of extra of time for his life. This is why for the materialist death is the most fearful thing. However, for one who has fully realized that he is the eternal servant of Krishna and has transferred all of his feelings of attachment to Krishna, death is the most wondrous exciting adventure. For him death means, "Go to sleep, and wake up with Krishna." So who is that fool who will not transfer all of his feelings of attachment to Krishna?

Question: What is Fanaticism?
What is fanaticism? I am new to Krishna consciousness. I have been told by other devotees that I am too enthusiastic about Krishna consciousness and am thus a fanatic. What is the proper understanding this regard?New Devotee in Mendoza, Argentina
Answer: Acting Blindly Without Philosophical Understanding
Whoever advised you in this way is not properly situated in Krishna consciousness. They are holding on to their material desires and out of envy do not want to see a newcomer like you to becoming more spiritually advanced than they are. So such advice, which is not in accordance with the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, should be politely neglected. The fact is that the more enthusiastic you become about Krishna consciousness, the more you become a fixed up, advanced devotee. Exuberant enthusiasm is not fanaticism. Fanaticism means to act blindly without any philosophical understanding. As long your thoughts, words, and deeds are based on the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna as revealed by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, there is no question of fanaticism. Srila Prabhupada wrote me when I was young very enthusiastic devotee back in 1971, "Continue enthusiastically as you are doing, and surely Krishna will bless you." So for the last 45 year I have always tried to faithfully execute this order that Srila Prabhupada so mercifully gave me. By doing so I am being constantly blessed by Krishna. So you should do the same.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
