Beyond Dogmatism

Sometimes those whose with flawed understanding describe the teachings of ISKCON Founder-Acharya: His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada as being dogmatic, which means strongly presenting things as facts when indeed they are not actually facts. Nothing could be further from the truth. Srila Prabhupada clearly presents reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all. Regarding being dogmatic, Srila Prabhupada writes as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 1.19.18 as follows:

"The Vedic knowledge is received perfectly by disciplic succession from authorities. Such knowledge is never dogmatic, as ill conceived by less intelligent persons. The mother is the authority to verify the identity of the father. She is the authority for such confidential knowledge. Therefore, authority is not dogmatic."

Materialists say that anyone who considers themselves to be absolutely right is dogmatic. But when we ask them if this is absolutely right, they are forced by their own philosophy to remain silent and are thus defeated.

We should be callous to such bogus criticisms which are themselves nothing but dogmatism, and we should always remain solidly situated on the path of Krishna consciousness.

Question: Do We Suffer the Reactions from Past Sins?

Hare Krishna Gurudeva,

All glories to Srila Prabhupada,
All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga,

In Sri Isopanisad Mantra 5 it is stated that we must face our past lives' reactions in this life. I didn't get it. By chanting the Hare Krishna mahamantra all our past reactions will be gone I read some where. And in Bhagavad-gita 18.66 Lord Krishna states that He will take care of the sinful reactions of all surrendered souls. Please clarify me, I'm scared!

Answer: The Fully Surrendered Are Freed from Their Karma

Only those who do not surrender have to suffer the sinful reactions from earlier in this lifetime and from previous lifetimes. Those who fully surrender to Krishna by taking initiation from the bona fide spiritual master and placing themselves fully under his divine instructions are freed the reactions to their previous pious and impious activities.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Who is this Krishna?

Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
