More Relishable than Sex

While driving by a sex shop in downtown Santiago, Chile on our way to the ISKCON temple, I am reminded how in this material world sexual intercourse is commonly regarded as the ultimate thrill, the most enjoyable of all pleasures. But for those fortunate souls who have mastered the art of diving deeply into the nectarean ocean of Krishna's holy names, sex pleasure is simply tenth class. It is of no interest to them. For them sexual pleasure is a downer, a dispiriting or depressing experience, because it drags their consciousness from the transcendental plane, which is eternal, full of unlimited bliss and knowledge, down to the material plane, which is temporary full of ignorance and full of misery. Who in their right mind would want to trade an ocean of unlimited bliss for an ocean of unlimited misery?

Question: God is One. Why So Many Different Teachings?

Pranam Srila Gurudeva,

God is one and He is all perfect, so His teachings naturally should have been one, similar and complimentary! Is it not? But, the reverse is the case! There are so many variations and varieties of teachings of God available today told by either His son, messenger, incarnations and so on! Do these not create confusion and differentiation among the readers and seekers? Please elaborate kindly!

God and those who purely represent Him present one and the same message throughout all of history, namely that we should all fully surrender to the Him as His eternal servants. The trouble is the bogus so-called incarnations and so-called gurus and messengers. These rascals are the ones who present something different than the above message.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
