Life Full of the Sweetest Happiness

The whole world is off the track. I did not learn this from my parents. I learned this from my contemporaries during the protest era of the 60's in the USA. Check out any newspaper and you will easily see that the human society is becoming more and more fragmented and divisive with each passing day. However, from my spiritual master I learned how to fix the problem. When you go deep within, connecting with the ground of your existence, the Supreme Person, the maintainer and best friend of all living beings, you get back to sweetness, the joyfulness of existence, in spite of all the chaos that is exploding all around you. This is what the self-realization process is all about, to get back into a loving relationship with the Supreme Person, the source of al existence. Such connection with Krishna or God brings total, complete satisfaction to the self and will bring total peace and happiness to the entire human society in due course of time.

Just as the clouds that cover the sun are manufactured by the sun when it causes water to evaporate from the ocean, in a similar maya or illusion is manufactured by Krishna to cover the consciousness of those who want to forget Him.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
