Entire Earth Was India

In former times, before the advent of the age of Kali 5,000 years ago, the entire planet earth was India. In other words, Vedic culture was all over the planet earth. What is now Delhi was formally known as Hastinapura. Srila Prabhupada writes, "The king of Hastinapura (now Delhi) used to be the emperor of the world," There is profuse evidence to substantiate this. Therefore the spreading of the Krishna consciousness movement all over the world is not at all unnatural. It is simply restoring planet earth back to its original culture.

Question: Do I Have to Leave My Family?

I have a question. I want to know that to attain prema bhakti (spiritual perfection) is it necessary that we have to leave my family, i.e. to become a celibate monk? Or we can attain pure love for Lord Krishna only by chanting his Holy Name and doing our duties? Help me, Srila Gurudeva to know my way. Also, what does Lord Krishna expect me to do?

To attain prema bhakti it is not necessary to give up family life and become a renunciant. If you will simply fully absorb yourself in Krishna consciousness 24 hours a day under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master, your spiritual perfection is assured. There are many great spiritualists such as Arjuna and Ambarish Maharaja who become spiritually perfect while externally being engaged as householders, married men. Here are some guidelines of how you can practically engage yourself in Krishna consciousness as a householder:

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
