Relishing the Bliss at the Radha-Gopinatha Temple
Our pilgrimage on 8-9 November from Vrindavana to Kauroli and Jaipur, Rajasthan was indeed ecstatic. We took the darshan of Madana Mohan, Govinda, and Gopinatha, the three main deities of Vrindavan. These deities were originally installed by Lord Krishna's great grandson, Vajranabha, 5,000 years ago. They were all taken to Rajasthan for safe keeping when the Muslim tyrant Aurangzeb and his soldiers came to Vrindavan to destroy its temples and deities. Our last stop was to see Gopinatha, the deity of prayojana, pure love of God. After this final darshan of the day my disciples were so enlivened from having personally seen these three ancient deities that their bliss erupted in an ecstatic kirtan, which you see and hear through this link: https://youtu.be/b6mVIPeayxc

Can we know our svarupa, our original identity in the spiritual world, in this life? Can we aspire and mediate on a particular form.
Anonymous
In our conditioned state it is not possible for us to know what is our original form that we had in the spiritual world before we fell into material existence. This is only revealed to us when we become completely pure devotees of the Lord, devotees whose only attachment is to Krishna. This stage of pure love of God is called the asakti stage, the stage of being 100% attached to Krishna. At our present stage, in which we still have material attachments, we cannot know our original form. Nor should we prematurely aspire after a particular form. To prematurely aspire for a particular form will hold us back from attaining the stage of pure devotion because we would be thinking about we want rather than what Krishna wants. Therefore our only meditation should be how to achieve the stage of pure devotional service. To prematurely speculate on what form we have in the spiritual world is compared to eating food which is prohibited from our diet when we are trying to recover from a disease in the hospital. Such forbidden eating will make us more sick and prevent us from recovering from our disease. To speculate on our svarupa in our present conditioned state will prolong our imprisonment within the cycle of repeated birth, death, old age, and disease. This is why we simply absorb ourselves in remembering that we are Krishna's eternal servants and lovingly serve our spiritual master, who is the external manifestation of Lord Krishna, who is residing within our hearts as the Paramatma, the Supersoul.

Question: Meditating on a Particular Form in the Spiritual World?
It's said that in the spiritual world we are all female because we are all enjoyed by Krishna, but that doesn't necessarily mean we are in a female spiritual form, right? Can we know our svarupa, our original identity in the spiritual world, in this life? Can we aspire and mediate on a particular form.

Answer: For a Neophyte This Prolongs Your Material Existence
Your understanding is correct. Being female in the sense of being enjoyed by Krishna does not necessarily mean that we will have a female form in the spiritual world. Since in a spiritual sense male means "enjoyer" and female means "enjoyed," in the spiritual world there is only one male and that is Krishna, and everyone else is female. This however does not mean that all forms are female. In the spiritual world there are both cowherd girls and cowherd boys. Although there are devotees in both male and female forms, all devotees are female in the sense that they are all enjoyed by Krishna. In our conditioned state it is not possible for us to know what is our original form that we had in the spiritual world before we fell into material existence.
