Parikrama to the Home of Srimati Radharani
11 November 2015--Today we were blessed with the most auspicious opportunity to visit Barshana, the home of Srimati Radharani. Lord Brahma appeared here in the form of four hills so that he could be a part of Radha and Krishna's most sublime Vrindavana pastimes. Atop the biggest of these hills is the Larily-Lal temple, where the original Radha Krishna deities of Barshana reside. These deities were installed after Krishna's disappearance by Krishna's great grandson, Vajranabha. It was also on this spot 5,000 years ago that Radharani's father, Vrishabhanu, lived in his palace. So this is Radharani's home. On the way to the temple we passed through a narrow passageway called Sankari Kor, where Krishna used to demand a tax from Radharani and the gopis before He would allow them to pass. Some local Brijabasis tried to block our way demanding that we pay them a tax, but by surrendering our lives fully in Krishna's service our tax is already paid. Therefore we ignored their demand and proceeded without paying them any tax. Upon reaching the top of the hill we stopped for a brief Srimad Bhagavatam class and then entered the Larily-Lal temple for darshan and a super-ecstatic kirtan that attracted the attention of all. What could sweeter than chanting the holy names of God and dancing in ecstasy in Radha and Krishna's transcendental abode?

Question: Can We Take Vrindavana Dust With Us?
Can we take the dust of Vrindavana with us? Or is it offensive to take it?Your servant,
M.H.
Answer: Vrindavan Dust We Can Take, But Not Govardhana Rocks
Yes, you are welcome to take Vrindavana dust with you when you leave Vrindavana. When Srila Prabhupada was giving a lecture in Vrindavana he said, "You have seen while you are walking, a devotee. He was taking the dust, Raman Reti, and putting on his head. This is Vrindavana -- the dust, Vrindavana dust is also Krishna." However, it should be noted in this connection by all devotees that Srila Prabhupada has instructed us not to take rocks from Govardhana.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
