The Real Perfection of Life

Your life is perfect when you have taken shelter of the bona fide spiritual master by initiation in full obedience and you are in the association of Krishna's pure devotees. Simply by doing these you are properly situated for attaining the spiritual world when you leave your present material body. Any other considerations such as geographic location, physical health, financial status, or social status are superfluous. Sadly the entire human society has missed these most essential points of life. They are in complete ignorance of how to actually be happy. Blindly they carryone on in their fool's paradise of trying to be content by over-gratifying the covering of the self known as the material body, while completely neglecting the happiness and satisfaction of the actual self within. It is sad indeed. We must try to save them.

Answer: Do These Three Things

Three things are required for becoming a pure devotee of Krishna: You need to take shelter of a bona fide spiritual master, get initiated by a bona fide spiritual master, and then be fully obedient to the bona fide spiritual master. If you will patiently, enthusiastically, and determinedly follow these three steps as a lifetime commitment, your becoming a pure devotee and going back home, back to Godhead is guaranteed.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
