If You Want to Save the World.

Lord Caitanya has ordered his devotees to save the world by telling everyone about Krishna. So if a devotee has a desire to save the world, this is very nice that he wants to do his duty. So how does one become empowered to spread the Krishna consciousness movement? The most important to understand is that one becomes empowered to save the world only to the extent that he has saved himself. In this connection there is a very appropriate verse:

vāco vegaṁ manasaḥ krodha-vegaṁ
jihvā-vegam udaropastha-vegam
etān vegān yo viṣaheta dhīraḥ
sarvām apīmāṁ pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt

"A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind's demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world."
--Nectar of Instruction, Verse 1

So the first step in saving the world is to see that one's tongue, belly, genitals, mind, words, and anger are perfectly dovetailed in the service of the Lord.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
