Our Mission: To Deliver the World

Just prior to Bhaktivinode Thakur's passing away in 1914, he entrusted the world deliverance mission of Lord Caitanya to his son, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur stating, "I am going, with my work for Caitanya Mahaprabhu's movement unfinished. So you take charge of it."

In Los Angeles on June 20, 1975 when Vishnujana Swami asked Srila Prabhupada about the meaning of this, Srila Prabhupada said," Then let us finish. We are descendant of Bhaktivinode Thakur. So he kept unfinished so that we shall get the chance to finish it. That is his mercy. He could have finished immediately. He is Vaisnava, he is all-powerful. But he gave us chance."

So now that this world deliverance mission has been passed down to our hands we must take it very seriously begging Srila Prabhupada, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, and Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur that by their combined mercy we may be able to finish this work of delivering the entire world from the stringent clutches of this material existence.

Question: Everyone Suffers, So Why Take Shelter of Krishna?

My question is that in this world everybody is suffering. In fact both devotees and non devotees are suffering. Then why we should take shelter of Krishna?

Answer: Two People Living in a War Zone

Just imagine two people who are living in a hellish war zone. One of them is scheduled to leave tomorrow to become a permanent resident in a peaceful, safe country, and the other one is stuck for the rest of his life in the hellish war zone. Who is suffering more? Who is miserable, and who is happy?
