Krishna consciousness is so wonderful that it empowers you to handle anything and everything that the material energy can throw at you. Even the heaviest trial of all, death, is a piece of cake for one who is fixed in Krishna consciousness. Every day is an exciting opportunity to dive deeper and deeper into the sublime mellows of Krishna bhakti. Once people wake up and realize what they are missing by not being Krishna conscious the whole world will take to this Krishna consciousness movement. Until then they will just keep suffering on, the poor souls!

Question: How to Be Krishna Conscious at Work?

I have a question. To do everything in loving service to God for His pleasure, what does this mean? How to implement it in daily lives? For example I'm an accountant, so how can I work in loving service to God? What should I think whole day?

Answer: Just As Arjuna Fought the Battle of Kurukshetra

To fix yourself in the proper state of mind for offering your day to Krishna, you should begin your day by chanting at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala before you go to work. You should only eat Krishna prasadam (foods offered with love and devotion to Lord Sri Krishna). And you should strictly avoid illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling. If possible, at your work place you should post a beautiful picture of Krishna at your desk and also keep a copy of the Bhagavad-gita As It Is at your desk so that during your break time you can read some words of wisdom from Lord Sri Krishna and His pure devotee, Srila Prabhupada. And then whatever money is earned from your job you should not think that it is your money. You should understand that it is Krishna's money and only spend it for His service, not for any kind of material sense gratification. In this way, just as Arjuna was able to remain fully immersed in Krishna consciousness even while fighting in the battle of Kurukshetra, you will also be able to remain fully absorbed in Krishna consciousness even while fighting your own personal daily battle of Kurukshetra at your accounting office.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
