The Spiritual Master is Our Spiritual Father

By the potency invested in him by his spiritual master, the spiritual master saves his disciples from the cycle of birth and death and delivers them back to home, back to Godhead. The Vedic wisdom is our mother. And the spiritual master who initiates us is our spiritual father. Srila Prabhupada explains that even though just as we have only one father, we have only one spiritual master, the spiritual master who initiates us, other Vaisnavas who teach us purely what our initiating spiritual master has taught us can also be accepted as gurus. They are called instructing gurus. While we can have only one initiating guru, we can have unlimited instructing gurus. If we take full advantage of the initiating guru and the instructing gurus, our lives will be successful.

Question: When Will I Be Able to See Krishna?

Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

It has always been enlivening to see Your Grace -the bliss and joy that you always exhibit.

I personally have been practicing for over 7 years the path of self-realization that you are so boldly teaching with such amazing conviction. As Srila Prabhupada asks in his introduction to Bhagavad-gita As It Is that one should at least theoretically accept Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, I have been doing so. While I did get some realizations and while chanting Hare Krishna is a wonderful experience, still the whole philosophy of Krishna consciousness remains a mystery to me. Therefore I feel like asking Your Grace the following questions:

1. Will there ever come a day (in this life) when I will directly meet face to face with Krishna to make this theory a black & white reality? How long will it take? It seems like a post-dated check.
2. Did Your Grace ever have such a direct meeting?
3. Do you know of someone else who has achieved this?

Dear Premamaya Nitai,

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am very happy to receive your wonderful questions.

As soon as your heart becomes completely free from the dirt of material existence you will directly perceive Krishna face-to-face, eye-to-eye. It can happen within a second, or it can take millions of lifetimes depending on how greedy you are to attain pure Krishna bhakti. It is you who chooses what date will be on the check that when cashed gives you Krishna with all of His unlimited splendor.

As far as my own position is concerned, I do not claim to be in any kind of exalted consciousness. My only claim is that I am fully dedicated to carrying out the order I have received from my spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada, to spread the Krishna consciousness movement all over the world, flooding this planet in a tidal wave of Krishna bhakti. It is in the form of this order that I am seeing Krishna at every minute.

Srila Prabhupada and the great predecessor acharya are in direct contact with Krishna at every minute. By following in their footsteps we will attain the same exalted consciousness.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
