Planet Earth Is Being Turned into a Toxic Waste Dump

At the present moment due to godless leaders the entire planet earth is gradually being transformed into an uninhabitable toxic waste dump. Everywhere things are becoming more and more polluted: the rivers, the oceans, the underground water table, the forests, the cities, the countryside, the air, etc. In spite of so much rhetoric about cleaning up the environment, the world's leaders are not able to do anything tangible about it because they are simply puppets in the hands of the greedy few who possess massive economic power. These vested interests care naught for the welfare of the human population. They are simply driven by their lust for more and more sense gratification, especially in the form of wealth and power. The people in general are forced for their livelihoods to work long hours in tedious jobs that they don't like. To do so they are crammed into congested, hellish, crime-ridden, dangerous, dirty cities. This is not the way that human life is supposed to be. In this connection Srila Prabhupada explains very nicely what is the proper standard of human life in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 1.11.12 as follows:

"Human energy should be properly utilized in developing the finer senses for spiritual understanding, in which lies the solution of life. Fruits, flowers, beautiful gardens, parks and reservoirs of water with ducks and swans playing in the midst of lotus flowers, and cows giving sufficient milk and butter are essential for developing the finer tissues of the human body. As against this, the dungeons of mines, factories and workshops develop demoniac propensities in the working class. The vested interests flourish at the cost of the working class, and consequently there are severe clashes between them in so many ways. "

If the world's leaders are not willing to act for the true welfare of the people, it's time now that they step down and allow the enlightened well-wishers of the human society to lead the world.

How can I perform mangala-arati at home? What do I need to perform mangala-arati? I don't have the facilities to go to the temple in the morning. Which mantras should I recite for mangala-arati?

Answer: Follow These Procedures

It’s not difficult. In fact it’s quite ecstatic. I am starting you off with a very simply standard as follows:

Set up an altar with pictures of Srila Prabhupada, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, Panca Tattva, and Radha-Krishna. Offer arati to them with incense, ghee lamp, flower and camara whisk. While offering the arati sing Prabhupada’s pranam mantras, the Gurvastakam prayers, the Panca Tattva mantra, the Hare Krishna mantra, and conclude with, “haraye namah, krishna yadavaya namah gopala govinda rama sri-madhusudana.”
