Exuberantly Sing and Dance

We have the greatest cause for celebration. The sweet water ocean of Lord Caitanya's mercy is inundating the universe and drowning everyone. Therefore do not remain on the shore of birth, death, old age, and disease. Instead you should dive into this ocean of mercy and immediately become liberated from all material miseries. Diving into this most sublime ocean is not all difficult. It can be immediately be done. All you have to is exuberantly sing and dance: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

Question: Was Mira Bai a Pure Devotee of Krishna?

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada and to you

Was Mira Bai a pure devotee of Krishna according to Srila Prabhupada? Is she a great authority? Was she one of the eight main gopis in Vrindavana?

Regards,
Saswata

Answer: Staunch Devotee of Giridhari

Srila Prabhupada has written in his purport to SB 2.3.15:

“The celebrated Mira Bai was a staunch devotee of Lord Krishna as the great lifter of Govardhana Hill.”

As we have no record of him saying anything else in regards to Mira Bai, we should not speculate as to what is her identity in the spiritual world.
