Krishna's Mercy Flows Like Niagara Falls in Austin

Once again on 16 February 2013 the magical potency of Lord Sri Krishna's name manifested on Austin's South Congress Avenue. This time there were twelve of us singing and dancing in ecstasy to awaken ourselves in self-realization and to bestow self-realization upon the sleeping souls of this world. It is sometimes said that there is strength in numbers. In the case of our holy name chanting party this principle is quite appropriate. The spiritual energy was flowing through us like Niagara Falls bestowing unlimited tons of mercy upon everyone who came within earshot of the chanting, even the many dogs who came by walking their masters.

Question: How to Taste the Nectar of Krishna's Name?

I am chanting 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mantra regularly on japa mala beads since 2010. But I am still not able to taste the nectar which is hidden in the word Krishna. How I should chant the Hare Krishna mahamantra so that I can taste the nectar? The other question is: What is sincere chanting?

Answer: Follow Rupa Goswami's Instructions

Sincere chanting is the chanting that will enable you to taste the nectar of Lord Sri Krishna's holy name. Srila Rupa describes the stages that one has to go through in order to get to the stage of ruci or taste. To get to that stage you must have faith in Krishna and you must associate with devotees. Then you must be initiated by the bona fide spiritual master and cleanse the dirt from your heart by faithfully serving and following your spiritual master's instructions. Thus you will becomes solidly fixed in Krishna consciousness and reach the ruci stage where you will derive unlimited nectar by combining these two syllables: "krish" and " na."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
