Devotee's Two Track Transcendental Adventure

The devotee's life is a two track transcendental adventure. While externally tasting the excitement of traveling and preaching all over the world for igniting a global spiritual revolution, he internally relishes the sweet mellows of Krishna bhakti from his connection with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. These external and internal rasas are not in conflict with each other. Rather they enhance each other, just like the two separate rhythms that amalgamate into one attractive rhythmical pattern when one simultaneously plays the two heads of a mridanga drum.

Question: How Muslims and Christians Get Purified?

Dear Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances!

By chanting we become purified from our sins. What about the Christians and Muslims? How are they supposed to become purified from the reactions of their sins?

Answer: By Chanting or Singing God's Name

The process of purification is one: chanting the holy names of God. By chanting or singing the glories of God according to their own religion all religionists will neutralize their sins. But if they continue sinning while chanting, they will spoil the purifying effect of the chanting. This is why all of the world's scriptures instruct us to stop sinning. If we chant but continue sinning, there will be no awakening of the love of God within our hearts, just as we will not be successful in lighting a fire if we pour water on it while we are trying to light it. Therefore all religionists should abstain from illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling while they chant the glories of God.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
