The Spiritual Master's Only Anxiety

Why spiritual master is very dear to Krsna? Because his only anxiety is how Krsna will be known all over the world. That's all. He has no ambition, pounds, shilling, pence. He only wants to know, only wants to see that everyone is devotee of Krsna and they are happy.

Question: Instruction Needed to Take Prabhupada's Shelter?

If I understand correctly, one's guru can advise him to take shelter of Srila Prabhupada, and that will not be an offence. However, if one directly takes shelter of Srila Prabhupada without getting one's guru's instruction, is that considered to be offensive because it is jumping over the head of one's spiritual master?

Answer: Instruction or No Instruction. Take Shelter.

Either approach is correct.

Someone can read Prabhupada's books and accept Prabhupada as their spiritual master and then surrender to his instruction to take initiation from one his disciples.

Or someone can be inspired by the preaching of one of Prabhupada's disciples, accept him as their spiritual master and be instructed by him to take shelter of Prabhupada and his teachings.

Through either approach the end result is the same. One will be sheltered by his spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada, and the entire disciplic succession. This will empower him to become a pure devotee and go back to Godhead.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. Who is this Krishna?
