Killer Epidemic Wipes Out All Living Beings

There is an unstoppable killer epidemic that is currently ravaging the entire universe destroying all living beings in its path. No one can escape it. All will be mercilessly killed. There will be no survivors. There is nowhere to go to escape this juggernaut known as death.

There is, however, one solution for those who are bold enough to take advantage of it. One can revive his original pure identity as a deathless spiritual being. This and only this can save one from the epidemic. Those who scoff at the idea of a spiritual self will be helplessly crushed. And those who are open-minded enough to hear from the bona fide spiritual master and follow his instructions will be joyfully liberated. They will reactivate their original, spiritual, ever-youthful, death-proof, all-blissful, all-knowing identities, which will never be touched by birth, death, old age, and disease.

Question: Where & When Did You Meet Prabhupada?

I've been meaning to ask you: When and where did you meet Srila Prabhupada? How was this experience for you? I wonder what it would feel like. What were the thoughts running through your head?

Thank you for spreading Krishna consciousness so far and wide across borders . Your "Thought for the Day" helps me start my day thinking about Lord Krishna. It's always comforting. Thank you for never ever failing to upload "Thought for the Day." I hope I can learn to be as dedicated as you.

I look forward to your response :)

Answer: San Francisco-June 27, 1971

My first direct personal experience of Srila Prabhupada was greeting him along with about 200 other devotees upon his arrival at the San Francisco airport on June 27, 1971. In those days there was no airport security so we were all waiting there with a tumultuous kirtan right where the jet bridge connects to the terminal. An entire airplaneful of amazed and dazed passengers passed through our transcendental corridor of singing and dancing devotees. With great expectation I surveyed each and every passenger as they departed the jet bridge and entered the terminal to see if this person was my beloved spiritual master. With ever-increasing anticipation I surveyed every person, passenger after passenger, wondering when I would finally behold my eternal spiritual master for the first time. After what seemed like an eternity when Srila Prabhupada finally appeared, the entire assembly of devotees exploded in transcendental ecstasy, "Jaya Prabhupada!" As a group we all hit the floor simultaneously in respectful obeisances at his lotus feet. The amazing thing for me was that even though Srila Prabhupada was physically shorter than the other passengers, approximately only 5 feet-5 inches, he towered far, far above everyone else in this world, as jagat-guru the spiritual master of the universe, a person so powerful that he is described as the sum total of all the demigods.
