The Solution for All of the World's Problems

At the present moment there is great disturbance on Planet Earth due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In the Bhagavad-gita Chapter Five, Text 29 Lord Sri Krishna gives the solution for this and all the world's problems.

bhoktāraṁ yajña-tapasāṁ
sarva-loka-maheśvaram
suhṛdaṁ sarva-bhūtānāṁ
jñātvā māṁ śāntim ṛcchati

"Only one who knows me as the owner and enjoyer of everything and as the most intimate well-wishing friend of all living beings can have peace from the pangs of material miseries."

Russia thinks to now claim Ukraine as it's own. But actually everything in all of existence belongs to Krishna because it is all His emanated energy. Only when everyone recognizes Krishna as the owner of everything will we have true and lasting world peace.

Question: How to Develop Faith in Guru?

Hare Krishna Srila Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet. All glories to Your grace, All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Srila Gurudeva, how to develop faith in Guru so that one can advance?

When taking to this path I am unable to balance the desire for material aspirations over spirituality. This push and pull sometimes feels exhausting and leads to outbursts in subtle ways. How to actually develop faith in this process of Sanantan Dharma.

Your grace, please forgive me for my foolish questions. I am an utterly fallen person full of material desires.

Your question of how to develop faith in the spiritual master is a most important question as confirmed in the Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad, Chapter 6, Text 23:

yasya deve parā bhaktir
yathā deve tathā gurau
tasyaite kathitā hy arthāḥ
prakāśante mahātmanaḥ

"Only unto those great souls who have implicit faith in both the Lord and the spiritual master are all the imports of Vedic knowledge automatically revealed."

The way to do this is to sincerely follow the spiritual master's instructions and then to see what is the result of following his instructions. By doing so you will become free from all anxieties of material existence and you will have the awakening of transcendental bliss within your heart.

Focus on spiritual aspirations and your material aspirations will vanish into oblivion due to their insignificance.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
