The Cause and Solution for War
Regarding the cause and solution for war Srila Prabhupada explains as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto, Chapter 10, Text 2:
"This world is compared to a forest fire caused by the cohesion of bamboo bushes. Such a forest fire takes place automatically, for bamboo cohesion occurs without external cause. Similarly, in the material world the wrath of those who want to lord it over material nature interacts, and the fire of war takes place, exhausting the unwanted population. Such fires or wars take place, and the Lord has nothing to do with them. But because He wants to maintain the creation, He desires the mass of people to follow the right path of self-realization, which enables the living beings to enter into the kingdom of God. The Lord wants the suffering human beings to come back home, back to Him, and cease to suffer the threefold material pangs. The whole plan of creation is made in that way, and one who does not come to his senses suffers in the material world by pangs inflicted by the illusory energy of the Lord. The Lord therefore wants His bona fide representative to rule the world."
Therefore let us all sincerely preach as powerfully and effectively as possible so that as soon as possible all the world's leaders will be Krishna conscious devotees.

I am not in an easy situation, so I need your instructions.
In connection with the war, I had to leave Kiev for western Ukraine with relatives. The Kiev deities were also evacuated. Some devotees took shelter in the Kiev temple.
In 20 days this housing will be the fourth in a row, which has to be replaced. I understand that I have no home in this world. I often remember your words that our home is not here. They calm me down.
As you understand, I do not have practical service to Deities. I carry a road altar with me. I offer food to Deities just mentally. But sometimes it is possible to offer on the altar. I keep my vows.
I tell people about the soul and God, if they are ready to listen to me.
In two places where we lived, people were presented with books - Bhagavad Gita and Śrī Īśopaniṣad. There are currently no books available for distribution. Sometimes I watch Guru-Puja online. On Saturdays there are online Bhaktivaibhava meetings. Also online nama hattas. And once a week we study Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta.
Also I help to weave camouflage nets for the front line soldiers.
Tomorrow my very sick parents are to be evacuated from Kiev. With housing problems we may have to seek refuge in Europe. So far there is no clarity.
I am afraid of only one thing, that my sadhana will not happen much. Should I focus on chanting the holy names? Write to me, please. I do not feel anxiety and fear of the invaders. With all this, if necessary, I am ready to take up arms.

I am great anxiety about your situation and the situation of all of our ISKCON devotees there in Ukraine. May Lord Nrisimhadeva give you and all the Ukrainian devotees His full protection.
Having any of them been killed or injured in this nasty attack by demons?
Make sure to remain focused on chanting at least 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa mala daily and strictly avoiding illicit sex, meat eating, intoxication, and gambling in all circumstances of happiness and distress, heat and cold, peace and war. This steady devotion to Guru and Krishna will save you in all circumstances.
Keep me posted regularly and how things are going there. I pray that as soon as possible the world will be free of such demonism by the wide scale distribution of the Krishna consciousness movement to every city, town, and village all over the world.
