Krishna Consciousness is the Perfection of Religion

Throughout history different great teachers have taught the principle of total devotion to God. For example, Lord Jesus taught this and Hajrat Muhammad also taught this. In this connection Srila Prabhupada has written, "Jesus Christ and Hajrat Muhammad, two powerful devotees of the Lord, have done tremendous service on behalf of the Lord on the surface of the globe." So we in the Krishna consciousness movement accept the authority of these great teachers. The difficulty is that the modern day Christians and Muslims are not strictly following Lord Jesus and Muhammad. If such misguided followers will take training from the Krishna consciousness movement how to become properly situated in devotional service, they will become perfect Christians and perfect Muslims. This is what we hope will happen.

Question: How is the Soul Everywhere?

Dear Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I was talking to someone about a few verses from the Gita when I realized I did not fully understand this verse. What is meant by Krishna stating that the individual soul is "present everywhere"?

Here is the verse:

Chapter 2, Text 24: This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.

Sincerely,
Joe

Answer: Everywhere There Are Souls

My Dear Joe,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Srila Prabhupada clearly describes this
in his purport to this verse:

"The word sarva-gata ('all-pervading') is significant because there is no doubt that living entities are all over God's creation. They live on the land, in the water, in the air, within the earth and even within fire. The belief that they are sterilized in fire is not acceptable, because it is clearly stated here that the soul cannot be burned by fire. Therefore, there is no doubt that there are living entities also in the sun planet with suitable bodies to live there. If the sun globe is uninhabited, then the word sarva-gata—'living everywhere'—becomes meaningless."

I hope this meets you in the best of health.
