Who Should Be President of the USA
On 29 December 1973 while giving a lecture in Los Angeles on Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto, Chapter 16, Text 1 Srila Prabhupada stated:

"So this civilization is so risky that people are not being given the real right that human being has the right to understand God and to make his relationship reestablished and go to home, back to Godhead, back to home. That is the real facility to the people. The program should be made like that, that the human life may not be missed. That is government. Therefore a maha-bhagavata, a great devotee, advanced devotee, should be on the head of the executive function. That is the idea of Vedic civilization."

There are three stages of devotion: kanistha adhikari, madhyama adhikari, and uttama adhikari. The maha-bhagavata is on the level of uttama adhikari. He sees everything within Krishna and Krishna within everything.

Most unfortunately neither of the above candidates is qualified to lead the United States of America. No matter which of them is elected the USA will suffer and the whole world will suffer. It's time for change.

If we are ever going to have a maha-bhagavata leader, we will have to be maha-bhagavatas also. So let's do it now. Let's get off of the kanistha and madhyama platforms and become uttama adhikaris, maha-bhagavatas who can see Krishna within everything and everything within Krishna.

I don't remember the details of that meeting I had with Jayapataka Maharaja on 30 June 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. But I have expressed to him how much I appreciate him for having sacrificed his entire his life for serving Prabhupada's mission. He also appreciates my humble effort to preach. He has written to me as follows, "You are my siksha guru in many ways. You are my internet siksha guru as you are preaching so nicely over internet."

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
