Question: Serve God or Serve the Needy?
A question often arises in my mind....When will Lord Krishna be more happy?
Will he be happy when we are serving Him, or will He be even happier when we are serving the needy people?

Answer: Do Both Simultaneously
My Dear Rahul,Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
No matter how much material welfare we may provide to the needy this material world is always by its very a place of suffering. Everyone (the
rich, the poor, and everyone in between) is forced to suffer the fourfold miseries of birth, death, old age, and disease.
Therefore the only permanent relief we can give to the needy (which is ultimately everyone) is to provide them with the means to go back to their original home in the spiritual world, where all forms of suffering are conspicuous by their absence.
God Himself appeared 500 years in the form of Lord Caitanya and ordered us to help all of the needy people in this material world by liberating from their bondage here in the prison of material existence by teaching them how to regain their original home in the spiritual world. He said:
yāre dekha, tāre kaha ‘kṛṣṇa’-upadeśa
āmāra ājñāya guru hañā tāra’ ei deśa
“Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa as they are given in the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. In this way become a
spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in this land.”
So becoming a guru as described above is simultaneously the best service to God and to the needy. (The needy is everyone in this material world.)
I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
