Human life is the most auspicious opportunity. After transmigrating through 8,000,000 different forms in the lower species of life we now have the most rare human form in which we can cultivate Krishna consciousness and qualify ourselves to regain our original identities that we once had in the spiritual world, the realm of eternity, knowledge, and bliss. So we should be very careful not spoil our human birth by running after sense gratification. Instead we must fully absorb ourselves in devotional service to Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is real intelligence.

Question: Guru on ISKCON's Order?

Please accept my humble obeisances and genuine thanks for your active concern!
All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!!

I regularly get your divine messages through email. I am not able to chant 16 rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra daily, but I utterly need to do it. Kindly instruct and bless me for that.

On the other hand, I am confused about following ISKCON or any Gaudiya Math, especially for initiation. I know that after one year of regularly chanting 16 rounds and following 4 rules and regulations, I may get initiation. Very soon I will start strong daily sadhana. But please clarify me about from where should I aspire to get initiation. Some people say that many ISKCON gurus are appointed gurus by ISKCON. But authentic gurus are those who are ordered by their own respective guru for the same. Please elaborate the scriptural view on this.

Every day you must now chant 16 rounds of Hare Krishna mantra japa before you take your meals. This will make you strong and steady in your japa.

Although ISKCON has approved me and the other gurus in ISKCON of being gurus, we are not gurus due to being appointed by ISKCON. We are gurus based on this and similar orders from Srila Prabhupada:

"Just become perfect in the understanding of this science and become guru and deliver the whole world."

Srila Prabhupada repeatedly gave his disciples such orders, which empower us to be spiritual masters. Thus you should aspire to get initiated by me or one of the other gurus of ISKCON.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
