One Drop of Water in the Desert

The world's wealthiest people are miserable. And if they have any happiness at all, according to the great Vaisnava poet, Srila Vidyapati, it is only like a drop of water in the desert. It is not enough happiness to truly satisfy them. All of their vast wealth cannot extend their lifespan by even one minute. When their time has come to leave their bodies even millions and billions of dollars cannot extend their lifespan by one minute. And then upon their leaving their present bodies because they did not cultivate spiritual awakening according to their karma they will take their next birth in the kingdoms of the birds, beasts, fish, germs, or plants.

Question: If We Don't Have a Spiritual Master?

When I asked you,"How can know that Sri Krishna, the Supreme King, is happy with us?" you replied, "When the spiritual master is pleased with you." But If we don't have any master, what we should do?

My Dear Tanisha,

Please accept my blessings.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

By the grace of Krishna, you get guru. And by the grace of guru, you get Krishna. Therefore you should pray to Krishna to reveal to you who is your spiritual master so that you can fully surrender to him.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.
Your ever well-wisher,

Sankarshan Das Adhikari
