Are You and Animal or a Human Being?

The Vedic injunction "athāto brahma jijñāsā" means, "This human form of life is meant for realization of the Supreme Brahman, the Absolute Truth." Therefore if we do not use it for that purpose we are lower than the animals. This is so because the animals are acting in perfect accordance with their animal natures. If do not cultivation realization of the highest truth as our life's goal, we are lower than animals. This is why the world is currently such a screwed up mess. Let's fix it by educating the so-called humans how to be actual humans!

Who are we if we deny our spiritual nature?

Answer: Lower than Animals
Dear Miguel,

If we deny our spiritual nature, we are lower than animals. If we study the various species, we will see that the animals are all acting in full compliance with their natures. The bird is flying in the sky. The fish is swimming in the water. Etc. There is only one species which is not acting in accordance with the laws of nature. That is the humans. The human being’s nature is to realize his spiritual identity. Thus when he does not do so he is lower than the animals. And thus, which species are responsible for polluting earth’s atmosphere? It is only the human beings who making a huge mess out of the environment. Thus the solution for all the world’s problems is a vast all-encompassing spiritual revolution. Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
