Double Purification Bliss

On 19 October 2019 we were blessed with the most auspicious opportunity to become doubly purified. By boat we traveled to pristine area on the bank of the River Yamuna where Gurumata blessed us all with wonderful Srimad Bhagavatam class. And then after class before heading back we were doubly purified by getting to take bath in the sacred river. These are the wonderful experiences of being in the most holy Sri Vrindavana Dhama that will hold a special place in our hearts. This is a sample of how wonderful it is to be a devotee of Lord Sri Krishna.

Question: Why Longer Life Span in the Satya Yuga?

Answer: All-Pervading Virtue

In the Satya Yuga, which lasted for 1,728,000 years the standard lifespan was 100,00 years. The reason people could live so long was that the atmosphere of the entire earth planet was virtuous. Everyone was saintly. There was practically no sin at all anywhere in the world. Because in our present age of Kali the entire planet is drowning in sinfulness our average lifespan at the present time is only a meager 71 years. At the beginning of the Kali yuga 5,000 years ago the life span was 100. And by the end of the Kali yuga when our entire planet will be turned into a jungle of cannibals the life span will be 20 to 30 years old.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
