Do Not Remain in Illusion

Why punish yourself? To be in illusion is to be in state of misery, and to be enlightened is to be full of so much bliss that it spills out of your heart and inundates the entire universe in an unlimitedly ecstatic tidal wave of pure love of God. The technique for becoming enlightened is very simple. All you have to do is hear submissively from the bona fide spiritual master and mold your life according to his sublime instructions. In this way everything will become revealed to you, and your life will become perfect.

I am very happy that you want to help us make the world Krishna consciousness. Since you have good intelligence you should use that good intelligence to develop a deep understanding of the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna as He so mercifully gives us in the Bhagavad-gita. Then you should mold your life according to those teachings under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master and dedicate your entire life for enlightening the world in these teachings. In this way your life will be unlimitedly glorious. You will be rendering the greatest service to the suffering humanity. And your achieving the supreme perfection of going back to home, back to Godhead after quitting your present material body will be absolutely guaranteed.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
