In spite of tremendous technological advancement in the material comforts of life, the human population is suffering from ever-increasing anxiety. The sad reality is that proportionately as humankind has made more and more progress in the material comforts of life it has also become proportionately more and more miserable. This is happening because along with material progress has come increasingly the false material concept of the self, i.e. that there is no non-material self existing beyond the material body. There could be nothing further than the truth. The self-realization process brings us back to experiencing first hand our original spiritual self, which is eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss. When practiced under the guidance of a bona spiritual master, one can experience an ocean of transcendental bliss that lies far, far beyond all the miseries of material existence. There is truly nothing greater than this!

Answer: Just Serve According to Krishna's Desire

Fully surrender to the bona fide spiritual master and he will deliver to your original loving relationship with Lord Sri Krishna in the wondrous spiritual sky. Every devotee feels his particular relationship or rasa to the best whether he is serving in 1. Neutrality, 2. Servitorship, 3. Friendship, 4. Parental, or 5. Conjugal. Don’t hanker after a particular rasa at your stage. Simply place yourself fully as the sold out servant of guru and Krishna. In this way you will gradually realize what is your particular relationship with Krishna and then you can hanker for it. Don’t hanker for a particular relationship now. That will be counterproductive and prevent you from attaining anything. Just hanker only to be Krishna’ pure devotee. Everything else will come from that.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
