Don't Cheat Yourself

If you simply base your life on satisfying your gross and subtle material senses, you will never be satisfied. You will die feeling frustrated and unfulfilled, not having achieved the real purpose of this human form of life. So don't cheat yourself by serving that which is not really you. Serve the real spiritual you within that temporary material body by reconnecting yourself in loving service to that Supreme Personality who is the source of all existence. Some call Him "Krishna." Some call Him "Allah." Some call Him "Jehovah." But no matter what you call Him there is a Supreme Person who is the source of all existence. And it is only when you love Him that you attain true peace and happiness.

Abstaining from sex will make you powerful and determined in all fields of activity. Mahatma Gandhi gave up sex, even though he was married. And he became so powerful and determined that he was able to drive the British out of India without even firing a gun.

You should focus on awakening love of God within your heart, rather than on making money because if you put God first, everything else needed will come automatically to you by His grace. And upon leaving your present body you will enter the spiritual world where there is no need of money.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
