Everything Will Be Alright

This material world is a hellish nightmare, although sometimes we foolishly take it to be paradise. But ultimately the horrid nature of material existence reveals itself. And but if we take complete shelter of Krishna and our spiritual master, the bona fide representative of Krishna, everything will be alright. Upon leaving our present material body we will not take birth again here in this ghastly material existence. We will instead go back to home, back to Godhead to relish an eternal, all-blissful existence with Lord Sri Krishna and His beloved devotees in that most wondrous spiritual sky.

Question: Difficulty in Chanting

Dandavat pranam Gurudeva,

How is your health? I am not able to control my mental stress in spite of chanting the maha mantra. I am fogged with so many mental problems and some times breathing becomes heavy. Kindly help me.

Answer: Intensify Your Focus

Presently I am getting improvement in my health, but it will be quite some time before I fully recover.

If you are not chanting at least 16 rounds daily, you are not chanting enough. If this is the case, you must increase your chanting to at least 16 rounds daily. And if you are already chanting at least 16 rounds daily, you need to chant with more intensity to burn away the multi-layers of material contamination that are presently polluting your mind.

You must be patient and determined. You have been caught up in the cycle of birth and death for millions and billions of lifetimes. To come out of it is not easy. So do not expect instant liberation.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
