Don't Be Morose

There is never any reason to be morose because we are being bombarded by the unlimited mercy of Lord Sri Krishna at every minute. Therefore moroseness is simply a manifestation of gross ignorance. So don't be an ignorant fool. Always be a wise man by always remembering the unlimited kindness of our most beloved Lord Sri Krishna at every moment.

Question: How Through Guru One Realizes God?

My dear Srila Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Your video for the day is becoming like a spiritual compass, guiding me to do more for Srila Prabhupada. Last month I began to reread Srimad Bhagavatam more scrutinizing. It's packed with so much nectar. I came across this which really inspired me:

"Person Bhagavatam is the self-realized bona fide spiritual master, and through him only can one understand the lessons of Bhagavatam in order to receive the desired result."

1.3.40, purport

Can you kindly give me some instructions relating to this? I remember you and Guru Mataji so much while reading Srila Prabhupada's books.

I hope you are well Srila Gurudeva, you always appear blissful in the videos but I know your health is fragile. Will you still be coming to London later this month?

I pray this meets you in the best of health and in an ecstatic mood.

Your servant,
Pritha devi dasi

Answer: By Loving Obedience

By rigidly keep your initiation vows you will be solidly connected with the spiritual master and will thus be blessed with proper understanding of the Srimad Bhagavatam.

In this connection Srila Prabhupada describes as follows in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam 3.22.7:

"This combination, the instruction of the spiritual master and the faithful execution of the instruction by the disciple, makes the entire process perfect. Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura describes in his explanation of the verse in Bhagavad-gita, vyavasayatmika buddhih, that one who wants to be certain to achieve spiritual success must take the instruction from the spiritual master as to what his particular function is. He should faithfully try to execute that particular instruction and should consider that his life and soul. The faithful execution of the instruction which he receives from the spiritual master is the only duty of a disciple, and that will bring him perfection. One should be very careful to receive the message from the spiritual master through the ears and execute it faithfully. That will make one's life successful."

As my health has improved we will be coming to London as planned on our way to Bulgaria.
