Don't Cheat Yourself Out of Unlimited Bliss

Your constitutional position is one of unlimited happiness, unfathomable bliss. So why should you settle for anything less? Come out of the quagmire of material illusion and be who you really are, the eternal spiritual being, full of unlimited love and happiness. To do so is real intelligence. Any other course of action is sheer foolishness, patent madness. So don't be an idiot. Be who you really are and relish the sweetest, most nectarean happiness for all of eternity.

Question: Is Krishna Manifest in Fire and Air?

My dear Srila Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I have had this question in my mind since 2010, if I remember correctly. But, I never thought it important enough to ask. I think I should ask it anyway. The question is: Is Krishna the form of fire and the touch of air as well?

The question arises because Krishna mentions in the Bhagavad-gita that He is the pure fragrance of earth, the taste in water, and the sound in ether, which are the basic constitutional characteristics of each of the three great elements. So, how about the essential characteristics of the remaining two great elements: fire and air? We know from the Srimad Bhagavatam that from the Lord's sense of hearing arises the sky, from the Lord's sense of touch comes air, from the Lord's sense of sight comes fire, from the Lord's sense of taste comes water, and from the Lord's sense of smell comes earth. Is it correct?

Answer: Krishna Is Present in Every Element

What you have read in the Srimad-Bhagavatam is naturally and obviously correct. In Bhagavad-gita 7.9 Krishna says: tejaś cāsmi vibhāvasau "I am the heat in fire."

In the purport to this verse Srila Prabhupada explains as follows:

"Vibhāvasu means fire. Without fire we cannot run factories, we cannot cook, etc., and that fire is Krishna. The heat in the fire is Krishna. According to Vedic medicine, indigestion is due to a low temperature in the belly. So even for digestion fire is needed. In Krishna consciousness we become aware that earth, water, fire, air and every active principle, all chemicals and all material elements are due to Krishna.
