Blessed by the Blowing of Transcendental Conch Shells

12 April 2017--Today in Vrindavan I initiated three disciples. Deepak Pandita became Dristadyumna Das. Supartha Rudra became Sundar Gopal Das. And Piyali Rudra became Prema Sarorava Devi Dasi. By the divine grace of Srila Prabhupada we were able to bring three sincere souls into a formal connection with Lord Sri Krishna through the transcendental via medium of the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya disciplic succession. It was most auspicious that just at that moment when I completed giving them their new names the pujaris in the temple loudly blew three conches at the conclusion of the noon arati ceremony.

Question: Why Cook So Many Preparations for Krishna?

patram puspam phalam toyam
yo me bhaktya prayacchati
tad aham bhakty-upahrtam
asnami prayatatmanah

Hare Krishna Gurudeva. In the above Bhagavad-gita verse Bhagavan Krishna agrees to accept a leaf, flower, fruit or water from His devotees. Why do devotees have to prepare 56 dishes to satisfy and please Krishna? Is this to satisfy our own tongue and bellies?

Answer: If You Love Someone You Will Feed Them Well

If love someone, you will feed them as nicely as possible. If don’t love them, you will feed them as little as possible.
