Material Civilization: Fix It, Don't Nix It
The material civilization has gotten so far off the track that it appears practically impossible that its inconceivably gargantuan burden of problems could ever be solved, even in thousands of years. But yet we can easily cross over this vast ocean of problems simply by putting Krishna back in the center in every facet of human life. So instead of destroying the whole thing with a nuclear holocaust, we can repair it by Krishna consciousness. Therefore our motto is, "Fix it, don't nix it."
I was reading a book, "Journey of Self Discovery", where it was mentioned, if you become Krishna conscious, you can get rid of suffering like ādhyātmika, ādhibhautika, and ādhidaivika. So how will I get rid of these problems? If I become Krishna conscious I will still sometimes get diseased. Still I will be affected by terrorism and office politics. I will still face floods, earthquakes etc. Is this only applicable when I leave this body and go to spiritual world? And it was mentioned, "This material nature is constituted in such a way that we have to suffer; it is God's law." Why God wants us to suffer.
Secondly what does it mean by association, do I need to go to the temple every time for association.
Please guide me.

It is not God's desire that we should suffer. We have foolishly put ourselves into a suffering condition by turning away from God. The sufferings we experience in this material existence are Krishna's special mercy to help us realize more and more that this material world is not our home.
Association means to hear, chant, and serve in the presence of other devotees. If you are always eager to spend as much time as possible at the temple whenever you get the chance, you will also be able to associate with the devotees at every minute within your heart by always remembering and appreciating their wonderful saintly qualities.

Answer: God Doesn't Want Us to Suffer--We Put Ourselves Here
In pure bhakti the sufferings become completely external, like something happening in a movie. They do not pinch you. For example, even death will simply be something happening out there in the external energy. It will not touch you as you continue to dive deeper and deeper into the unlimitedly sweet mellows of Krishna bhakti. It is not God's desire that we should suffer. We have foolishly put ourselves into a suffering condition by turning away from God. The sufferings we experience in this material existence are Krishna's special mercy to help us realize more and more that this material world is not our home.
