Global Team of Jagad Gurus

Srila Prabhupada explains in his purport to Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Adi Lila, Chapter 7, Verse 83 as follows:

"A sincere student aurally receives the holy name from the spiritual master, and after being initiated he follows the regulative principles given by the spiritual master. When the holy name is properly served in this way, automatically the spiritual nature of the holy name spreads; in other words, the devotee becomes qualified in offenselessly chanting the holy name. When one is completely fit to chant the holy name in this way, he is eligible to make disciples all over the world, and he actually becomes jagad-guru. Then the entire world, under his influence, begins to chant the holy names of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra."

Inspired by this most amazing purport, my vision for ISKCON is a worldwide team of jagad-gurus, pure chanters of the holy name whose combined instrumental spiritual potency can in an amazingly short period of time pull off a complete, total global spiritual revolution.

Therefore my request is that all ISKCON members should become very serious and diligent to carefully chant the holy name every day without offense so that very quickly the entire world can become inundated in a tidal wave of pure Krishna bhakti and all the problems of the greatly perplexed human society can immediately be solved.

Answer: Most Fallen and Most Fortunate

A devotee always humbly feels that he is most fallen and most fortunate. Although feeling himself fallen, he feels absolutely ecstatic that in spite of his fallen nature he has been blessed with the unlimited mercy of Guru and Krishna to be restored to the most glorious position of being engaged in the devotional service of Lord Sri Krishna. Therefore within his heart he celebrates at every minute the fact that he has been blessed the greatest good fortune that ever bestowed on anyone in history.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth. He is all-attractive because he exceeds everyone in all of existence by possessing unlimitedly all the qualities that are attractive namely power, beautify, renunciation, knowledge, wealth, and fame.
