Question: Our Minds Delude Us
Are or are not our minds being trained to see if we are progressing in Krishna consciousness? I am wondering this because the mind sometimes allures us to forget Krishna. If we do not have determination, in the morning the mind makes us believe that sleep is very nice.Sometimes I want to do everything for pleasure of Krishna and sometimes I forget this. So, how can we remain stable always in loving Krishna.

Answer: Control Your Mind With Your Intelligence
It is intelligence, not the mind, which we train to analyze whether or not we are progressing in Krishna consciousness. The uncontrolled mind is the worst enemy of the living being impelling him to engage in activities such as oversleeping which karmically oblige him to take birth as a bear in his next life. This is why one has to bring the mind under the control of his intelligence. The intelligence is like the mother and the mind is like the child. A child who runs wild not obeying his mother will certainly get into all kinds of trouble. Such is the fate of one whose mind is uncontrolled. A devotee becomes stable when he always intelligently analyzes whether or not his mind is properly engaged in Krishna consciousness and disciplines his mind by bringing it back o Krishna whenever he sees that it is going off the track.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
