Don't Be a Donkey
We have been slaves of maya or illusion for thousands and millions of lifetimes. In this state of servitude to the material energy we have never been satisfied. But yet, inspired by the false hope of enjoyment in the near future, we have continued serving maya just like a donkey who works hard all day by seeing a carrot dangling in front of him. It's time for us to wise up and stop running after the carrot of false material enjoyment. The unlimited happiness we desire is available for us immediately. All we have to do is give up our ridiculous endeavor to be God and surrender ourselves fully at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Krishna.

Question: How to Transcend the Three Modes?
Srila Prabhupada writes that Krishna consciousness or bhakti is situated in the mode of pure goodness above the three modes of material nature. How can a neophyte devotee who is still under the influence of the three modes of material nature execute Krishna bhakti in the mode of pure goodness?Veerendra E.
Answer: Faithfully Serve Guru's Order
If the neophyte devotee, even though still under the influence of the three modes of material nature, will simply faithfully follow the orders received from his spiritual master, by the grace of his spiritual master he will gradually come out of the influence of three modes of material nature and become a spotlessly pure devotee of the Lord.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
