Question: Why Don't I Have Any Attraction For Krishna?

I was taking darshan of Sri Sri Radha Krishna in the darshan arati today. Why don't I have any attraction for Krishna? I also do not have any attraction for Krishna's holy names. I am just chanting because Your Grace has asked me to chant, having realized that I am not a devotee at all. I am simply a rascal.

Answer: You Have It, But It Is Deeply Buried

I am very happy that you have realized that you are a not at all a devotee. This is one of the most important realizations to have when one takes up the path of devotional service. Lord Caitanya concluded that He is not a devotee. So what is our position? This realization brings you to point of humility so that you can begin now to cultivate genuine love of God within your heart.

Actually you have attraction for Krishna, but it is simply covered at the present moment by so many layers of lust, anger, and greed that you have accumulated over thousands and millions of lifetimes in this material existence. Through the purificatory process of Krishna consciousness, if you will follow it faithfully and steadily with determination, patience, and enthusiasm under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master, you will gradually unearth the sublime treasure of pure love of God, which is presently sleeping soundly within your heart. And you will wake up one day to joyfully discover that you are now unlimitedly attracted to Krishna relishing the sweetest mellows of pure love of God within your heart at every minute.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
