All That Glitters is Not God

According to the theory of pantheism everything is God. There is no separate God who is the source and proprietor of everything. The pantheists simply take the universe to be God. Those of a pantheistic mindset are dazzled by the glitter of this material world taking it to be the all-in-all. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Hong Kong.

On 10 June 2015 while en route from South Africa to Malaysia I stopped in Hong Kong to give a lecture, "ISKCON, A Loving Family to Unite the Entire World," at the ISKCON temple there. While walking to the temple I snapped a photo (shown below) as I was witnessing the Hong Kong glitter and feeling sorry for the billions of souls who are lost in this material world completely razzle dazzled by its bewildering spell. The lecture was very well received. At the end of my lecture we completely sold out of every copy of my new book, "Truth Works", that I had brought to the lecture.

I am delighted to learn that you have been chanting Hare Krishna for the last 30 years. This has been for the entirety of your adult life.

In order to give up the over-indulgence of the tongue such as over-eating and smoking tobacco you need to dive deeply into the sweetness of Krishna’s name. In this way your tongue will taste a pleasure so sublime that you immediately lose interest in all of the so-called pleasures of the tongue. Access to the full nectar of holy name is attained by taking shelter the bona fide spiritual master because it is only by grace of the spiritual master that one can advance to the stage of experiencing the full taste of Krishna's most glorious holy name.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments. Krishna is not a myth, nor is He an ordinary historical personality. He is the Supreme All-Attractive Personality of Godhead. He is the oldest of all while simultaneously maintaining the form of a 16 year old youth.
