Our Gargantuan Challenge

We, the Hare Krishna people, are on a mission to save the world. Not only are we out to save the world, which is truly the most noble sentiment; we are the most fortunate souls who have been blessed by the greatest spiritual master in history, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, with the precise formula of how exactly this entire planet can factually be saved as soon as possible. This can be achieved by the wide scale dissemination of the science of Krishna consciousness. Now the only trick that remains for us is how to convince the entire world to take up the process of Krishna consciousness as soon as possible. This is the gargantuan challenge that we face.

Question: Why Not Spiritual Bodies in the Material World?

Why does Krishna gives us material bodies when we desire to come to this world? I mean He can allow us to come to this world in our original spiritual bodies. Every conditioned soul desires to enjoy, so why Krishna gives a material body (which is full of suffering) to every conditioned soul?

Answer: Because We Have Lusty, Greedy Desires

Because when we come to this world our hearts have lusty, greedy desires, we require material bodies to satisfy those lusty desires.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
