Questions and Answers on the Absolute Truth
In this world there are many types of questions and answers going on constantly. The birds are chirping, "Where is the worm?" The businessmen are chirping, "Where can I make a profit?" And the students are chirping, "How can I pass the exam?" All such inquiries are more or less a waste of time because they do not liberate one from the vicious cycle of repeated birth and death. The only questions and answers that are truly worthy of our time are questions and answers regarding what is the Absolute Truth, because such questions and answers empower us to regain our original identities as associates of the Supreme Lord in His eternal pastimes in the spiritual world. While other types of relative questions and answers may be accepted in order to take care of our temporary material needs, they should never be understood to be as important as questions and answers regarding the Absolute Truth.

Why is Krishna asking us to live as per our caste within the varnashram system? Because of these classifications (four varnas or castes) the Brahmanas feel that they are near to God while others are not. In India we are all suffering because of this. Why Krishna instruct us in the Bhagavad-gita to follow this system of varnashram dharma (four social orders and four spiritual orders)?
What is the purpose behind these classifications when all souls are equal and we should therefore respect all the other souls?
Gurudeva, kindly clarify so I can explain to my friends what is the significance of the varnashram system.
Thanks and Regards

Answer: Do Not Follow the Demoniac Caste System
What we see in India going on under the name of the caste system is not the original divine varnashram system given in the Vedas. It is a perversion known as the demoniac varnashram system. The original pure varnashram system is a natural division of labor based on one's qualities and activities, not on his birth. So one does not become a brahmana by birth and thus get the automatic status of someone who is closer to God. To be a real Brahmana one must earn that qualification by his qualities and activities. The only person who can truly considered to be a Brahmana is that person who is actually closer to God by his strictly following the teachings of Krishna as given in the Bhagavad-gita.Sankarshan Das Adhikari
