Impervious to the Influence of the Material Energy

The pure devotee of Krishna has a maya proof consciousness, i.e., a consciousness which is completely impervious to and impenetrable by the influence of the material energy. Even if he is offered all the opulence of this material world, he will not be even slightly attracted because he is totally absorbed in the unlimited happiness of serving Lord Sri Krishna at every minute. Just as no sane man has a desire to drink poison, the pure devotee of the Lord has no inclination to try to enjoy separately from the enjoyment of Lord Sri Krishna.

Question: Why Do We Forget When We Were In Hell?

It is well-established that sinners face inexplicably horrible torments in hell. So my question is: If life in hell is so horrible, why does the soul forget such insurmountable horror in its next birth?

Answer: Krishna's Kindness

If the soul were to remember the hell he went through in his previous birth, he would be suffering from a severe case of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and would not be able to function properly in his present life. So the forgetfulness of his previous hellish suffering is Krishna's kindness upon him so that he can live his life peacefully and cultivate Krishna consciousness in a happy mood in preparation for going back to home, back to Godhead.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here.
