The Bliss of Cooking for Krishna

Instead of cooking simply for ourselves and remaining entangled in the cycle of birth and death, we can cook for Krishna and go back to home, back to Godhead. Besides that, after cooking for Krishna and offering the food to Krishna it tastes a million times better than anything we could cook only for ourselves. Why is this? When Krishna tastes the food offered to Him with love and devotion He transforms it from matter into spirit. Such sanctified food is called prasadam, which means mercy, because such sanctified foodstuffs are truly the mercy of the Lord. Devotees of Krishna only partake of the remnants of vegetarian foodstuffs which have been offered with love to Lord Sri Krishna. They never put anything else into their mouths because eating unoffered food is simply eating so many lumps of sin. And there is not much more to be said in this connection.

Please tell me how to react if we see that some animal is suffering? How can we help them? Since they can't talk and can't understand Krishna consciousness how we can help them? Should we ignore their suffering seeing it as simply as a karmic reaction?

Answer: Close All of the Slaughterhouses

The way to end animal suffering is very easy. Presently we are murdering 2.5 million animals every day in the slaughterhouses. Simply we must give up this heinous criminal activity and allow the animals to live happily and peacefully. The karma from the regular, violent torture and murder of these millions of innocent animals all over the world on a daily basis is overwhelming. This is why we human beings are presently being so much tortured with natural disasters, bizarre accidents, murders, wars, and terrorism. Because we are terrorizing the animals our karma is that we must also be terrorized in so many ways. If the rascal government leaders will simply close the slaughterhouses all over the world, an amazing era of peace and prosperity will become manifested on this planet.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
