Our Special Thanks to Kedaranth Prabhu

Two days ago it was reported in Thought for the Day that Doyal Govinda Prabhu was the organizer of the Baltic Summer Festival. We failed to mention that the main organizer of this wonderful festival was Kedaranath Prabhu. So today we want to especially express our deep appreciation to this wonderful devotee Kedaranth Prabhu for his dedicated labor of love to create such an uplifting experience for the nearly one thousand devotees who participated in the 2013 Summer Baltic Festival. This stimulating forest retreat featured six days of wonderful deity worship, super-enlivening kirtans, sumptuous prasadam, and many informative and inspiring classes and seminars on many different transcendental topics. There was even a children's Ratha Yatra! All of us who had good fortune to attend this festival will cherish many memories of it within our hearts for many years to come. Also not to be forgotten are the hundreds of devotees who volunteered their time and energy in the many, many departments of service, all the way from cutting vegetables to security, to make this festival a most heart melting experience for all those attended. Now we are simply counting the days until the next festival.

Real liberation means going back to home, back to Godhead. It means returning to Krishnaloka to serve Krishna forever in His eternal pastimes.

Everything in this material world is temporary. This includes the atoms and the sub-atomic particles also. When Mahavishnu inhales all of the material universes are completely destroyed.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me. I had so many wonderful Krishna conscious experiences in their association that I can hardly begin to describe them here. But at least may it suffice for me to say for now that Gayatri taught me what it means to be a soft-hearted devotee of the Lord and she gave me my first cooking lesson, teaching me how to make cauliflower pakoras, and Amarendra taught me the art of how to preach strongly, intelligently, and coolly to defeat opposing arguments.
