Here's How I Became Truly Happy

As a youth I was always depressed, even though from a material point of view I was successfull. I was a top level honor student. I was the commanding officer of our high school's militaty cadet corps. I played the violin in the all-city orchestra of Houston, Texas, etc. But these things did not give me any satisfaction becuase they were only steeping stones on the pathway to death. It is only when I attained deathlessness by taking initiation from Srila Prabhupada that I could taste true happiness for the first time in my life.

Prabhu, I am currently reading in class 10.
I will be starting my JEE Preparation from class 11. It requires a lot of time and dedication to crack it, as it's the 2nd most toughest exam in the world.

I had some questions:

1. Should a student keep an aim for score? If yes, will it not be a materialist activity?

2. Why should I study hard? What should be my ultimate goal?

3. How we study academics for Krishna? How can we offer non materialistic things like our marks or hours spent in studies, to Krishna?

4. If a student is not able to spend time in reading scriptures or chanting, what to do?

5. How to remember Krishna while studying also?

6. How much time (minimum) should I must keep for spirituality?, and in that time, which activities exactly should I concentrate?

Begin your day every day by deeply absorbing your mind in Hare Krishna japa however much you can do. This will put you in the proper mood for your studies.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee. When I was young brahmacari monk in 1973 I joined with the two of them in Gainesville, Florida. We were a three person preaching center, and they were just like a mother and father to me.
