Is Srila Prabhupada ISKCON's Only Guru?

Fools and rascals are making the bogus claim that Srila Prabhupada is ISKCON's only guru and that everyone who is now becoming initiated are becoming Srila Prabhupada's direct disciples. But we need to understand things not according to mental speculation. We need to understand things according to Srila Prabhupada's instructions. Here's what Srila Prabhupada said in this connection:

On 28 May 1977 the members of ISKCON's Governing Body Commission (GBC) met with Srila Prabhupada in Vrindavan to inquire about this issue. They asked Srila Prabhupada what is the situation when a disciple of Srila Prabhupada gives initiation to a new devotee. Does the person they are giving initiation to become a disciple of Srila Prabhupada? Or do they become a disciple of the person who is giving them the initiation? Here's what was said:

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: They're his disciple.
Prabhupāda: Who is initiating. He is granddisciple.
Satsvarūpa: Yes.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: That's clear.
Satsvarūpa: Then we have a question concer...
Prabhupāda: When I order, "You become guru," he becomes regular guru. That's all. He becomes disciple of my disciple. That's it.

So the disciplic succession does not end with Srila Prabhupada. His disciples become the next link in the line of the disciplic succession coming from Lord Brahma. This is confirmed in an arrival lecture given on May 18, 1972 in Los Angeles. Here's what Srila Prabhupada said:

In conclusion, Srila Prabhupada is not ISKCON's only acharya. He said, "So we have got this message from Kṛṣṇa, from Caitanya Mahāprabhu, from the six Gosvāmīs, later on, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, Bhaktisiddhānta Ṭhākura. And we are trying our bit also to distribute this knowledge. Now, tenth, eleventh, twelfth. My Guru Mahārāja is tenth from Caitanya Mahāprabhu, I am eleventh, you are the twelfth. So distribute this knowledge. People are suffering. They are simply fighting on some false thing, māyā. They should be given the real fact of happiness.

So do not be misled or confused by bogus philosophies presented by envious fools and rascals. Stick firmly to the teachings of Srila Prabhupada and your life will be unlimitedly sublime.

Heart Melting Reunion with Amarendra and Gayatri

On Friday 26 June 2015 I was blessed with the greatest good fortune of meeting with two of the dearest devotees of my entire life, His Grace Amarendra Prabhu and his good wife, Srimati Gayatri devi dasi. I am eternally indebted to these great souls for how much they helped me in my spiritual life when I was a young devotee.
